Agreement to Terms
Welcome to DeenPost! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the DeenPost services, including:
- DeenPost Website (accessible at https://www.deenpost.com)
- DeenPost Mobile Application (available on iOS and Android)
By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.
You represent that you are over the age of 13 to use this Service. The Company does not permit those under 13 to use the Service without parental or guardian consent.
Your access to and use of the Service is also conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with our Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information. Please read our Privacy Policy carefully before using our Service.
Interpretation and Definitions
Interpretation
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.
Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:
- Affiliate means an entity that controls, is controlled by or is under common control with a party, where “control” means ownership of 50% or more of the shares, equity interest or other securities entitled to vote for election of directors or other managing authority.
- Application (or App) means DeenPost, the mobile software program provided by the Company, available on iOS and Android platforms.
- Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in these Terms) refers to DeenPost.
- Content refers to content such as text, images, Quran verses, hadith, quiz questions, or other information that can be posted, uploaded, linked to, or otherwise made available by You, other users, or the Company, regardless of the form of that content.
- Country refers to New South Wales, Australia.
- Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, a cellphone, or a digital tablet.
- Feedback means feedback, innovations, or suggestions sent by You regarding the attributes, performance, or features of our Service.
- Service refers to the Website and/or the Application.
- Terms and Conditions (also referred to as “Terms”) mean these Terms and Conditions that form the entire agreement between You and the Company regarding the use of the Service.
- Third-party Social Media Service means any services or content (including data, information, products, or services) provided by a third-party that may be displayed, included, or made available by the Service.
- Website refers to DeenPost, accessible from https://www.deenpost.com.
- You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.
Use of the Service
Account Registration
While certain features of DeenPost may be used without creating an account, some features may require you to provide personal details during onboarding (such as your madhab preference, daily goals, and notification preferences). This information is stored locally on your device.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use DeenPost only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with Islamic values. You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to solicit the performance of any illegal activity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, computer systems, or networks connected to the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
- Use the AI Chat feature to generate content that is harmful, hateful, deceptive, misleading, or violates any applicable laws
- Misrepresent AI-generated Islamic guidance as formal scholarly rulings (fatwa)
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to discover the source code of the Application
- Upload viruses, malware, or any other malicious code
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service through automated means without permission
- Use the Service to spam, solicit, or send unsolicited communications
- Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content provided through the Service without express written permission
App Features and Usage Terms
AI Islamic Advisor (Chat)
DeenPost provides an AI-powered Islamic guidance chat feature using OpenAI’s GPT-4o model through a secure backend proxy. By using this feature, you acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated responses are for informational purposes only and should not be treated as formal religious rulings (fatwa) or as a substitute for consultation with qualified Islamic scholars
- The AI may occasionally provide inaccurate or incomplete information — always verify important religious guidance with trusted scholarly sources
- Your chat messages are processed through our secure proxy server and forwarded to OpenAI for response generation
- Your conversations are stored locally on your device only (up to 10 recent sessions) and are not retained on our servers
- Use of the AI Chat feature is subject to OpenAI’s Usage Policies and reasonable rate limits
- The Company is not responsible for any actions taken based on AI-generated advice
Prayer Times
DeenPost provides prayer time calculations using the adhan library with Al-Adhan API as a backup source. By using this feature, you acknowledge that:
- Prayer time calculations are based on mathematical algorithms and your geographical location
- You may choose your preferred calculation method and madhab (Hanafi/Shafi’i) during onboarding or in settings
- Minor variations in prayer times may occur compared to your local mosque — always refer to your local Islamic authority for the most accurate times
- The Company is not responsible for any missed prayers due to inaccurate calculations, delayed notifications, or technical issues
Qibla Finder
The Qibla Finder feature uses your device’s GPS and compass (magnetometer) sensor to determine the direction of the Kaaba. You acknowledge that:
- Compass accuracy depends on your device hardware and may be affected by magnetic interference
- The Company does not guarantee 100% accuracy of the Qibla direction shown
- You should calibrate your device compass regularly for best results
Quran Reader
DeenPost provides access to the Holy Quran with translations, audio recitation, bookmarks, highlights, and personal notes. By using this feature, you agree that:
- Quran text and translations are sourced from Al-Quran Cloud API (alquran.cloud) and are provided for educational and spiritual purposes
- Audio recitations are streamed from MP3Quran.net (reciter: Mishary Rashid Alafasy)
- While we strive for accuracy in Quran text and translations, you should refer to a physical Mushaf or verified source for critical study
- Personal notes, bookmarks, and highlights you create are stored locally on your device
- You will treat Quran content with the respect and reverence it deserves
Prayer Tracking
The prayer tracking feature allows you to record your daily prayers and maintain streaks. This data is:
- Stored entirely on your device in local storage
- Never uploaded to our servers or shared with third parties
- Your responsibility to maintain through device backups
Daily Quiz
DeenPost offers a daily Islamic knowledge quiz. By using this feature, you acknowledge that:
- Quiz questions and answers are curated for educational purposes
- While we verify the accuracy of quiz content, minor errors may exist
- Quiz scores, streaks, and statistics are stored locally on your device
- The Company is not responsible for any incorrect information in quiz content
Daily Verse and Hadith
DeenPost provides daily Quran verses and hadith from authentic collections (primarily Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim). These are provided for spiritual reflection and educational purposes.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, DeenPost may send:
- Prayer time alerts with optional adhan sound
- Actionable notifications to mark prayers as “Prayed” or “Missed”
- Daily Quran verse notifications
- Daily Hadith notifications
- Daily quiz reminders (customizable schedule)
- Friday (Jumu’ah) prayer reminders
You can customize or disable any notification type individually through the app’s Notification Settings screen or your device settings.
Verse Sharing
When you share Quran verses as images through the app, you agree to share them respectfully and in appropriate contexts. Shared images include Quran verse text along with translation.
iOS Widgets and Live Activities
On iOS, DeenPost may provide home screen widgets (prayer times, daily hadith, Quran verses) and Live Activities (next prayer countdown on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island). These features use on-device App Group storage and do not transmit data externally.
Intellectual Property
Service Content
The Service and its original content (excluding Content provided by You or other users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of DeenPost and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the Country and foreign countries.
Quran and Hadith Content
The Quran text is the Word of Allah and is not subject to copyright. Translations of the Quran are subject to the copyright of their respective translators and publishers. DeenPost sources translations through publicly available APIs and credits their respective authors.
Hadith content is sourced from verified and authenticated collections. DeenPost provides these for educational and spiritual benefit.
Your Content
When you create personal notes, bookmarks, or other content within the app, you retain ownership of that content. This content is stored locally on your device.
Feedback
If you provide Feedback to the Company, you assign all rights in that Feedback to the Company. If such assignment is not possible by law, you grant the Company an unlimited, irrevocable, perpetual, sub-licensable, transferable, royalty-free license to use the Feedback in any manner without credit.
Third-Party Services
DeenPost integrates with and relies on the following third-party services:

These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of these third-party services.
The Company does not assume responsibility or liability for any third-party services, content, or resources available through the Service. You use third-party services at your own risk.
Disclaimers
Religious Content Disclaimer
DeenPost is a tool designed to support your Islamic journey. However:
- We are not a religious authority. Content provided through the app (including AI responses, quiz answers, and informational text) should not be treated as formal Islamic rulings (fatwa).
- Always consult qualified scholars for important religious questions and rulings.
- AI responses may contain errors. The AI Islamic Advisor is powered by a language model and may occasionally provide inaccurate or incomplete information regarding Islamic teachings.
- Prayer times are approximate. Always cross-reference with your local mosque or Islamic authority.
- Quran translations are interpretations. They represent the translators’ understanding and may not capture every nuance of the original Arabic text.
General Disclaimer
The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy, completeness, or reliability of content
The Company does not warrant that:
- The Service will function uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location
- Any errors or defects will be corrected
- The Service is free of viruses or other harmful components
- The results of using the Service will meet your requirements
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Company or its suppliers be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages whatsoever (including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, loss of data, or other intangible losses) resulting from:
- Your access to or use of (or inability to access/use) the Service
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
- Any content obtained from the Service
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
- Missed prayers or incorrect prayer times
- Inaccurate Qibla direction
- Incorrect or misleading AI-generated responses
- Data loss due to device failure, app updates, or uninstallation
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, which means that some of the above limitations may not apply. In these jurisdictions, each party’s liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
”AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” Disclaimer
The Service is provided to You “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” and with all faults and defects without warranty of any kind. The Company makes no representations or warranties regarding the suitability, reliability, availability, timeliness, accuracy, or completeness of the Service.
Without limiting the foregoing, neither the Company nor any of the Company’s providers makes any representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied:
- As to the operation or availability of the Service, or the information, content, and materials included thereon
- That the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- As to the accuracy, reliability, or currency of any information or content
- That the Service or any content delivered through it is free of viruses, scripts, trojan horses, worms, malware, or other harmful components
Governing Law
The laws of New South Wales, Australia, excluding its conflicts of law rules, shall govern these Terms and your use of the Service. Your use of the Application may also be subject to other local, state, national, or international laws.
Disputes Resolution
If you have any concern or dispute about the Service, you agree to first try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at contact@deenpost.com.
For European Union (EU) Users
If you are a European Union consumer, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident. Nothing in these Terms affects your rights as a consumer to rely on such mandatory provisions of local law.
United States Legal Compliance
You represent and warrant that:
- You are not located in a country that is subject to a United States government embargo
- You are not listed on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties
Severability and Waiver
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Waiver
Except as provided herein, the failure to exercise a right or to require performance of an obligation under these Terms shall not affect a party’s ability to exercise such right or require such performance at any time thereafter, nor shall the waiver of a breach constitute a waiver of any subsequent breach.
Translation Interpretation
These Terms and Conditions may have been translated. You agree that the original English text shall prevail in the case of a dispute.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to breach of these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. If you wish to terminate your use of the Service, you may simply discontinue using the Service or uninstall the Application.
Note: Since most app data is stored locally on your device, uninstalling the app will delete your local data (prayer history, bookmarks, notes, quiz scores, chat history). This data cannot be recovered.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, in whole or in part, please stop using the Website and the Application.
